The nose is quite inviting with red berry and apple candy up front as oak spice, vanilla wafer, caramel candy, and chocolate malt provide balance. On the palate, fruit is in charge initially as spice becomes more assertive.
The finish is balanced and pleasant with cardamom and peppercorn surging before giving way to red berry and apple candies in caramel, which persist for a while. A gorgeous sipper.
