B520 has managed to come in strong again and come in just ahead of A120 batch. The lower proof on the B520 really let the Bourbon open up, making this one of the most complex ECBP bottles we have ever had. Easy to drink, and unbelievably delicious, this marks a continuation of what might be the best ECBP year yet.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Dark brown. Lighter than a lot of other ECBP releases.
Nose: Robust nose, with caramel and brown sugar leading to vanilla and spicier rye, tobacco notes on the end. Very complex nose.
Palate: Immediate sweet caramel and vanilla fade quickly into strong tobacco, leather, and cinnamon. These flavors all mix in with clove and standard baking spice flavor, along with definite rye notes, then taper off to strong oak on the finish. Again, very complex flavors here, moving seamlessly from one standard profile to another.
Finish: Medium finish, but it is all oak. Once the other flavors fade off the palate, you are left to sit in a bath of fine oak flavors.
