2020 FOSSIL & FAWN “ONLY ALWAYS” SUNNYSIDE VINEYARD WILLAMETTE VALLEY

“2020 will be remembered for a variety of reasons. Lost in mix was the delightful quality and potential that the vintage held. Absurdly low yields and a mild growing season rewarded us with wines of concentration and balance. This is our Gemischter satz style bottling. All grapes were grown by Luci and Tom at Sunnyside Vineyard—old plantings at 700 feet elevation on bright red volcanic soils. The fruit was lightly pressed and racked to barrel where fermentation happened spontaneously in French oak of varying ages. We bottled without fining or filtration.
